Holla for a Day Off!

Hello fellow fashionistas,

I have been in the best mood since last night! 

I signed up for my FINAL semester of undergrad last night. It's such an exciting, yet bittersweet thing. I'm graduating a year early, so I am very excited to see my hard work paying off. Oh and the icing on the cake is I do not have class on Mondays or Fridays next semester. HOLLA. 

Hurricane Sandy is starting to make its way through Virginia, so Liberty cancelled classes for the day! Can you say best day ever? My roommate and I have watched movies, gone shopping, baked, and are now preparing for our Halloween party tonight! We are having a few friends over for some apps and deserts! I'm making pumpkin muffins, chocolate molten cupcakes, and a few other goodies!

Home Sweet Home

Hello fellow fashionistas,

I'm excited to be home for the weekend! I am home to vote early, since I go to college out-of-state. Any trip home is exciting for me, but for some reason I'm extra excited for this weekend. Life has been so busy these past few weeks in the fashion school realm. Today, I turned in my huge project for my design & apparel class. I'm not loving the final outcome, but satisfied. With that off my shoulders, I'm hoping to just relax & enjoy time spent with the people I love most.

Here are a few of my favorite things by rjrogers featuring chanel perfume

1) FAMILY: If there is one thing you need to know about me, is that I loveee being with my family.

2) MACBOOK PRO: This baby has gotten me through college and I will forever be an Apple lover.

3) RULES OF ENGAGEMENT: Cannot stop watching this on Netflix. I also cannot stop laughing!

4) LOUIS VUITTON DELIGHTFUL: Probably my favorite bag I own. Roomy & my things do not seem to fall to the bottom. I have the largest size & adore it!

5) DD COOLATTE: LU just got Dunkin Donuts on campus! My friends got me hooked on a coffee caramel coolatte! 

6) ESSIE: Now I hate painting my nails, hate it! But Essie nail polish has caught my eye lately. I found a gorgeous color for fall I'm excited to wear!

7) SWEATER: I'm obsessed with this particular style of J.Crew sweaters! I picked up a couple over fall break and am dying for more for Christmas. So cute with pearls or a bubble necklace. I recommend!

8) CHANCE: Chanel Chance is my favorite perfume..ever. 

9) LONDON: I went this past summer and fell in love with London. It felt like a nicer (& cleaner) version of NYC.

10) DY RING: I haven't been wearing my DY rings as much lately, because I'm on an extreme gold jewelry kick. Still my fav though!

11) TORY BURCH RIDING BOOTS: Do I really have to say anything else?

12) MK WATCH: Like I said I'm on a gold kick lately, and this bad boy is constantly on my arm!

Loving this dress! It looks perfect for a casual day shopping with friends, or a night out with your girlfriends. It is all about switching up the accessories. For such a classic dress, it has such versatility. The Christian Louboutin nude pumps make an easy switch from day to night. The Kate Spade clutch adds to the feminine feel of dressing up & going out. Whereas, the Yves Saint Laurent and Jack Rogers are more daytime wear. The bag shown for the daytime look could be used at any time, due to its overall classic feel. How do you switch from day to night?

Sick Day Blues

There is nothing fashionable about being sick. It is tissues, runny noses, and itchy eyes...what about that is appealing? Thankfully, I'm not that kind of sick, where you cannot stop sneezing and whatnot. I'm a whole other deal. That whole achey, falling asleep everywhere, baggy eyes, nauseous, wanna stay in bed all day kinda thing. Unfortunately, I have a major project due Friday, and had to attend class. When I am sick, I have little desire to dress nice. It was a glasses, sock bun, & heavy scarf kinda day. 

Now I'm back ready to catch up on some shows & nap

 the day away.

Family Weekend in Lynchburg!

As I said on Friday, my parents were coming for family weekend. It was an amazing weekend, and I already miss having them here. They got here around dinner time on Friday and we spent a long time talking over dinner and a movie. 

I got up early on Saturday and rode around Lynchburg with my dad looking at all the pretty scenery and the new changes on Liberty's campus. I am so blessed to go to such a beautiful school in the mountains. After about an hour of riding around, we headed back to get ready for a fun afternoon of football! Liberty played Concord and WE WON (LU-21 CU-13). It was a good game to watch and Concord was a hard working team! My dad had gotten us seats right in the middle of the action, so it was nice to see.  We went to a great pizza place afterwards where we waited forever! But it was worth the wait for sure.
Today was a pretty relaxed day with them. We grabbed a nice brunch before they left to go back home to North Carolina. My friend Abby flew in, so I'm excited to now spend the week with her. Before that, I'm going to take one very long nap!
