Back To Lynchburg

It never gets easier leaving home to come back to school, whether its from a long break, or just a weekend. Like I've said this is my last semester, so I was excited to come back & enjoy everything this town and my college have to offer. While I am still excited, I found myself growing a little sad on my way back tonight from my friend's dorm.
Life at home is so simple.
Life at school is not as simple.
It's a matter of finding my routine.
Once I get into my routine, I stop thinking about home and start thinking about what all I have to do that day or week. Give me a couple days and I'll be all set.
Until then, I'll be thankful for the lump in my throat, for that means I have family and friends to miss, when others do not.
While this blog post was far from anything fashion, I felt like it was a nice change in pace. It was even a nice way to let out the way I had been feeling the past hour or so!
I hope you all had a great Monday!

Growing Up

It seems like this time of my life I am often reflecting on how fast time has really gone by. Especially it being my last semester of college, I have a chapter soon to be closing, & another opening!
Last night, I went to my old high school for a basketball game. While lots of things have changed over the past three years, nothing has changed with my friends and I. We still laugh about the same things, cry about the same things, & relive the same memories repeatedly. I keep looking at pictures from high school & thought i'd share some with you all.

Our Junior class trip! Some of these girls I have been friends with for almost ten years (& some for more)

Our first day of Senior Year. We went to McDonald's almost every morning before school together. It is a great memory from high school.

Johnny Rockets. One of the MANY trips to the beach with these two. There are few middle/high/college memories without these two in it.

My senior class. Most of us were together since Kindergarten (or for me first grade). Some came later, some left, some came back again, but we all were family.

My final picture. This one seems fitting. It was our first weekend coming home from college. Now my weekends at school are coming to a close & my memories at home will start to begin again.

Now that I have taken my trip down memory lane, I really should get back to getting ready for my mini-road trip tomorrow to Tennessee!

Enjoy your weekend!

Wednesday Finds!

Hello lovelies,
I spent the day with my mom today! We did two of our favorite things, we shopped and we ate! We headed to our favorite places. We stopped by Nordstroms & J.Crew! Nothing really knocked our socks off at J.Crew, but we had the opposite problem at Nordstroms! We liked it all! I was pretty tired, from a late night Tuesday, so I browsed quickly!
Here's what my Wednesday looked like!

Perk to being home: Having my mom drive me around (:

Nordstroms dressing room! We both wore Lilly Pulitzer Elsa tops today, oops.

How cute is this Burberry shirt? We thought so too! Welcome to my closet!

I've been longing for one of these Tory Burch cardigans for a while now, but hadn't gotten around to getting it quite yet. I love it!

I can't wait to wear my new pieces & to keep enjoying my time at home! It has been the best Christmas break, being able to be with my family & friends.
I have an exciting weekend coming up with my best friend! A trip to TN, to see our old quadmate get married! Check back for what we wore!

Bad Day Turned Good day

So my Sunday night/Monday morning looked a little like this...
baggy eyes, baggy tshirts, & comfy blankets...

Apple juice, a little childhood favorite to make me feel better, & chick flicks...
Then around noon on Monday I started feeling much better...
still a little achy!

Because this is my last week at home, I wanted to take advantage of my time. My bad sick day, turned into a great night out with friends. We watched the Bama game & ate some Cookout.
It was great!

That chain necklace has quickly reached the top of my favorites list....& guess what....It was a Target find!
I love my shoes here, they are from Nordstroms and after a couple wears they are extremely comfy!

That was my Monday!
Tomorrow (well I guess today, since it's so late) I am spending the day with my mom & going to a country concert tomorrow night with my friends!
Hopefully I will continue to feel better and be able to enjoy my last week at home!

Enjoy your Tuesday, ya'll!

Five Loves

I got this dress at Target over the weekend & am loving it! I wish they made it in other colors. I will have to check it out! Paired with some cute flats & gold accessories!

My friends have all watched this show for a while & if you follow me on twitter you know how obsessed I am now. I just started last week & I'm already on season 2!

I LOVE this MK bag! My sister has it in red, but I love this navy!

Pink nail polish, need I say more?

I have gone to the L.L. Bean  website to buy these shoes multiple times, but can't make up my mind! I see them paired with the cutest outfits! Looking at them without an outfit, they aren't all that great, but paired with some skinny jeans, white oxford & Barbour coat! To buy or not to buy?

What are you all loving right now?

In case any of my blog friends are having a rough day. Something to keep in mind, as we approach hardships.

Recent Happenings & OOTD's!

Being on Christmas break, without a routine, it takes great effort to not be in leggings & a hoodie all day long. Don't get me wrong, I love making new outfits & getting dressed. But there is a part of me, that loves to stay in & have my lazy days, in my LU sweatpants & tees!
Considering, most of my life I am busy and not sitting around, I get to have a lot of mix ups of outfits.
Here are a few of my recent ones & how my last week looked:
A trip to the doctors!

I have about ten more days at home! I'm looking forward to fun days with my mom, outings with friends, a concert next week, and my old roommates wedding next weekend.
It will be a busy week, but full of fun & happy times!

What do you all have planned for the next week?
