Weekend Recap
The older I get the faster my weekends seem to go! Here is a recap of my weekend at home!
Friday:
I've touched on my Friday a little in my previous post, but here is a recap. I left my final class and drove the three hours home to North Carolina Friday afternoon. My best friend & I went to dinner with my parents. It was nice to catch up with her and joke. We went to see Pitch Perfect afterwards. We both laughed so hard and I wouldn't mind seeing it again soon!
Saturday:
It was an early day on Saturday, but not necessarily on purpose. I was up around 5 am and spent the morning with my early bird father. We talked a long time in his office, before we went to grab some breakfast and just ride around. That is a tradition him and I have had since I was a little girl. Grabbed some Panera with mom later on & did a little shopping! Right after that I went to my newly married cousin's house to see how she had decorated and whatnot. It is so cute! We went to the outlets and she found some great things at J.Crew! With it being so close to Christmas I decided to leave the shopping up to Santa! Later on I caught up on the show Nashville and watched the movie Poseidon. Has anybody else seen that? It is so stressful!
Sunday:
Brunch out with my parents and chatting made for a great Sunday morning. I left home around lunchtime to head back to school to work on a project the rest of the day! Busy Sunday!
How were ya'll's weekends?

Hello Barbour!
Yesterday, I came home to North Carolina for the weekend. After realizing I would be stuck in traffic for a bit, I decided to stop in to see my aunt, since she works off the road I was on! After leaving my phone on vibrate and in my car for a while...I came back to a couple missed calls & voicemail from my lovely mother! Her and my dad were shopping for some things for their upcoming trip to the Big Apple at a local store, Ashworths! Ashworths carries Southern Tide, Southern Proper, Peter Millar, Barbour, etc. My mom had called to tell me of a Barbour coat she wanted me to get!
That is all I needed to hear. My best friend and I were meeting for dinner and a movie, so she came with me to check it out! After fiddling with it and deciding if the fit was right, I finally decided the Barbour Classic Bedale Jacket was a "need." It is a little loose I feel like in the back, but I asked for a 2nd and 3rd opinion and was told it fit like it was supposed too! I am excited to pair it with some boots and cable knit sweaters!

Thankful Friday
As I said last Friday, I want to take every Friday and give ten different things I am thankful for this month! These might not be as generic as last week, but i'll still try to keep it short!
Thankful Friday List #2
1. My apartment in Lynchburg. It has really started to feel like home, since I moved back to Lynchburg in August. While this will never be my home, it has been a great substitute when away from my home state of NC.
2. My best friend! She reads my blog from time to time, so I hope she sees this post! Many people have best friends, but she has been there for me since I was 12 years old. Our friendship has only gotten better with time & I'm so thankful that the distance has not effected us.
3. MOVIES. I'm so thankful for movies. I am a movieholic. Chick flicks, action, drama...I like it all.
4. Cell phone! I am especially thankful for my phone, being away at college. It is so nice to send my parents a quick text or make a quick call to a friend back home.
5. I'd be lying if I said that I was not completely thankful and in love with my roommates cat. Let me rephrase that, she's my cat. I kid, but I feel like she's mine. She stays by my side most of the time and has been the best little companion this school year!
6. My Aunt Cindy! She is like another mom to me and I love our phone calls and skype sessions!
7. On that note, I have to throw in my favorite younger cousin, Andrew. He is always someone I can count on to give me a laugh or sweet word.
8. Grace. Whether its God, a teacher, or a friend, I am so thankful for receiving grace. Liberty has employed some of the most gracious teachers!
9. My mattress! Let me explain. My mattress at home is okay, but my mattress at my apartment is AMAZING. I'm shocked I have not missed class from oversleeping since I got it.
10. Glasses! Even though I may have a love for different eyeglasses, I do need them! I have worn glasses or contacts since I was in second grade. I am so glad I have something available to me so that I can see better!

Thankful Friday
November seems to bring out the thankful spirit in people...obviously since Thanksgiving is in this month! I try to keep a thankful heart all year long, but it is easy to get caught up in day to day life that is filled with complications. I would like to post ten different things every Friday for the month of November. Join the challenge with me!
Here are ten things I'm thankful for:
1. The life God has given me.
2. My parents & sisters!
3. Liberty University & all the memories it has given me.
4. Heat...it went from summer to winter here in VA it feels like!
5. Laughter
6. Friendships that are irreplaceable.
7. My older cousin, Ashlee
8. A car to commute to school in! (I am especially thankful for this after I saw a girl walking to school today in this cold weather.)
9. Mexican food
10. The vacations of 2012 and the memories that went along with it.
What are you thankful for?
Rebecca
