{Thanksgiving}

This year my Thanksgiving was a little different, than normal.

Different, but wonderful! 

I spent my morning and lunchtime with my parents, before my boyfriend came to pick me up. I spent Thanksgiving dinner, with Joe's family! The meal was great & the company was even better! 

2013 has brought me so many blessings! From new friendships, to old ones, my boyfriend, college graduation, and of course, my family!

Here are a few pics from my vacation this past week! I was so happy to have a little get away with my parents and my boyfriend even came down for a few days, which was great! Shopping in Charleston, great food, & exploring were my favorites of the week!

Updates: September

Wow where to even begin? Since my last update a lot has changed. Mostly all for the better.
I have moved into my beautiful apartment with one of my best friends & am starting to slowly get back into my life in Lynchburg. But I seem to be coming home a lot to see well, my family, my best friends, and the new guy in my life (:
I've started back into that school grind, prepping for graduate school starting in the next couple months. I've started looking for jobs in the fashion industry, now that I have my degree. I've started to act like more of an adult and looking past the next month and into the next year. Lots of decisions have seemed to come my way lately and I'm trying to learn how to embrace it, especially as a college graduate and adult. I've had a few bumps in the road lately, but followed by some pretty awesome moments..so I'm thankful.

& of course my love for fashion has only grown. My current favorites are Tory Burch, Michael Kors, and no doubt Lilly Pulitzer.

OOTD: Featuring MK Hamilton

It is no secret how much I love the Michael Kors Hamilton bag! I've had a couple different versions, but I'm especially excited for this bag! I picked it up, along with a few other MK items yesterday! It will be such a great bag for fall & I don't have anything like it!

My family is vacationing at Hilton Head this week! It is so peaceful here, I love how relaxing it is!

Michele Lovin'

It's no secret I love a good watch. I come by that honest, because my dear mother loves watches probably more than I do. Her collection makes me drool at times. She introduced me to a watch line about two years back called Michele. Their watches are gorgeous and to die for! They are what some might say a little glamorous.  You can change the watch bands out to match your current outfit or stick to the classic men's watch look.

I have the watch above with two different bands. I love ittttt. I've had it a couple years and don't wear it everyday, but it still gets its time out! 

These three are the ones that make my jaw drop. At Michele, you buy the watch face separately from the band. But how great do those above look with those bands?! I love them. My stylish momma has the two tone watch, along with another classy silver one. 

I'm eyeing that gold one for myself! I wear my gold MK watch a lot, but this one just screams "timeless."

Week Recap!

Like most of my weeks this summer, I spent the majority of my time with my 

friends! Since this is my last summer before graduate school and probably a job, I'm soaking every day in like it was my last!

Monday:

Caught up with my friend Breck (from Whim of the South Blog) at one of my favorite lunch spots! Like most days we are together, we somehow manage to find a shopping trip in there somewhere. We stopped by Ashworths where her boyfriend & my friends work! I picked up a Southern Proper hat & a Southern Tide koozie....I can't resist a SoPro hat, they fit better than most of my others! & do I really need an excuse for a koozie? Didn't think so!

Tuesday:

Lots and lots of errands! From shipping packages to Target runs, it was a long day of basically...nothing. But atleast I did it in style. My obsession with the Lilly Pulitzer popovers is growing out of control. Clearly, I come by that honest, since my dear mother has the same obsession, if not worse.

Wednesday:

I met my mom for lunch & spent most of my day doing odds and ends with her! I also discovered the mango-pineapple smoothie from Target. If you have never gotten one, get up from your chair right now and get a LARGE. They are delish!

Thursday:

Ok...I had one of those "I need a pick me up, time for a hair makeover" days. My past week had been less than ideal & this was just what the doctor ordered. After biting probably all my nails off & making one of my best friends do all the talking, we came to an agreement with the hairdresser on what I had in  mind. I lucked out getting the color specialist that day! I got halo honey and caramel highlights and a slight trim! My hair was so long, I had to stand up for her to cut it (only one inch though). She spent nearly three hours on my hair & this was the final product:

Friday:

Pick me up day number two. There is no one that cheers me up or listens to me babble on quite like my mom does. I'm sensing she knew I needed a little lunch and shopping date! P.F. Changs & Lilly Pulitzer was the final prescription to me feeling better! I picked up a new collared shirt & my new LP planner! 

My monogram mason jars came in & my monogrammed LP cooler bag! 

Saturday:

If there is one thing most people don't know about me, it's that I never sleep. Granted, I sure love me some naps. It is nothing for me stay up all night and maybe take an hour or two nap during the day if I can. (Its 5 am and I haven't been asleep yet)...I just can't fall asleep. Regardless, today I finally got my rest! Aka I slept from 6 am to 2 pm. IT WAS GLORIOUS. After that, I was ready to get out and do something fun. Met with my older cousin (more like sister) Ashlee, for some outlet shopping!

This needs to be discussed...I bought J.Crew seersucker pants for....wait for it...$14. I know, it's a steal. Between their current sale & my student discount, those babies were bound to come home with me!  

That's how my week played out! Babbling on as usual (: 

 I have an exciting week to come filled with friends, traveling, and the beach!

If you haven't checked out J.R. Crider's then you are missing out! It is a fairly new store that caught my attention online about a month ago. They are probably best known for their logo tees & "It's bow tie or no tie" tees! They also carry Southern Tide, Southern Marsh, Over Under Co, Cotton Snaps, among others. Hats, croakies, and visors are quite popular on their site as well.

For the Boys in Our Lives

Oddly enough, I’ve found myself migrating towards men’s fashion boards on Pinterest lately. It’s no secret that I love a good “Chuck Bass.” Let’s be honest, can anyone dress as good as Chuck? Doubt it. Men’s fashion has come a long way in the last ten years. I feel like the faded jeans and jean shorts thing has finally come to an end….or atleast I pray it has. The preppy look has migrated towards bright colors and coastal living inspirations. The well tailored jean has become a must in every fella's closet, while the cargo pant/short has gone in the donations pile...I hope.

Where I’ve Been, Where I’m going

Well bloggers…

I have definitely been MIA from the blogging world the past two months or so. Life somehow managed to slow down but still keep me pretty busy all at the same time. Since my last real post, I have graduated college…thank goodness. I start graduate school in the fall for business, so my days of all nighters and exams are far from over. My last semester was a blur. It seems like I met some of the most amazing people and made some of the most amazing memories all in a matter of four months. I went to my first derby, turned twenty-one, took many road trips, and so much more. Post grad life has been pretty great! Life was so busy there for a while, I decided to take a few weeks and just take a breather. Lots of new things are happening in my life and I’m embracing each and every one. Having the feeling of your life finally falling into place is irreplaceable. Join me back on Stay Stylin, for a more posts on my life after college, what I’m learning in the kitchen, and of course what I’m loving in the fashion realm.

Road trip: Injured edition

Hey ya'll,

I hope you all had a great weekend! I definitely had a great weekend, filled with good company, Foxfield Derby Race, road trips, & all things preppy! I will post early this week about my derby experience! While I can't sleep I decided to go and purchase some of the SoPro items I have been

eyeing!

I wanted the neon pink hat, but remembered my dad had just gotten me one at the Masters! 

I liked a couple others, but come to think of it I might have switched to the white hat! Oh my 1:30 am is getting the best of me!

I had to get the bow tie SoPro shirt as well!

I have been trying to get it back home at a store that carries it, but they never seemed

to have my size! 

I'm gonna stop by Southern Marsh this week as well to pick up a hat! I am in awe of their seer sucker visor, but I'll leave that for the fellas!
